Campaigners from Manchester Stop the War protested at the BBC last Sunday after its biased Panorama programme about the Israeli attack on the Gaza aid flotilla. The programme presented Israeli commandos, who killed nine aid activists, as the victims.
Parveen Yaqub (pictured above in yellow) was on the aid convoy and spoke at the protest. “I saw my friends shot at close range by Israeli commandos,” she said. “People lay bleeding on deck and the Israelis prevented medical assistance—so they bled to death.
“The Panorama programme reported none of this. The BBC repeated the lies the Israelis told. If we were armed with guns, where are they? Where are the bullets? Where are the injured Israelis?
“There weren’t any. The only guns abroad were those brought by the Israelis.”
