Council Workers in Nottinghamshire were set to be the first to walk out against the cuts this week.
Some 3,700 workers at Nottinghamshire county council were set to strike this Thursday—the day the Tory council votes on its savage cuts budget.
Workers are fighting vicious Tory council leader Kay Cutts who wants to make more than 1,000 forced job cuts in the next few weeks alone.
It comes as anti-cuts protests sweep across Britain—and get more militant by the day.
In Southampton, workers stormed the meeting where the council was setting its budget last Wednesday.
Eventually the mayor ordered the public to be removed from the public gallery to stop the heckles of “Shame on you” and “Same old story, same lying Tories”.
Similar protests broke out in Islington and Cambridge.
