Doctors vote for joint action
by Jackie Applebee, GPThe British Medical Association (BMA) doctors’ union voted at its annual conference in Bournemouth to coordinate any further action over pensions with other unions.
Delegates also delivered a resounding vote of no confidence in the health secretary Andrew Lansley and called for him to resign.
A motion was also passed calling for the health and social care act to be repealed.
