Pride marches took place across Britain on Saturday for LGBT rights. In Glasgow some 6,000 people took part, making it what organisers say is the largest ever in Scotland.
There was a focus on the fight for equal rights to marry at the rally. Labour MSP Drew Smith said, “Pride is not just a party, it’s a demonstration.
“We’ve made progress through the years, and the next has to be equal marriage. This is not a debate about ‘gay rights’, it’s a debate about equal rights.”
In Bristol LGBT marchers and anti-fascists joined together against the English Defence League.
Activists also gathered in Bournemouth for the Bourne Free Pride celebration.
