Royal Mail workers in Bridgwater, Somerset, went on unofficial strike on Friday against bullying managers.
Over 100 members of the CWU union walked out of their delivery office this morning in protest at the suspension of a long-standing colleague.
He faces disciplinary measures after a “swearing incident”— despite the other worker involved asking for the case to be dropped.
Dave Wilshire, Bristol & District CWU branch secretary, said, “The overwhelming support for today’s walkout confirms our belief that there is something wrong with the way this workplace is managed.
“While this strike is a protest against an unfair suspension, the underlying issues of heavy handed bullying managers must be dealt with.”
