Sudanese activists and their supporters protested outside Downing Street in London last Saturday in solidarity with the Sudanese revolt.
They highlighted the killings which took place recently in Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state. In a further bloody escalation of the government’s crackdown on protest, the police and regime militias fired on a student demonstration. At least 12 people were killed and many others injured.
The revolt in Sudan has been driven by the inspiration of the Arab spring and by soaring prices of food and other basic goods. Send solidarity to protesters via menasolidarity@gmail.com
