Metroline bus strike suspended

Issue No. 2029

The T&G union suspended a planned strike by bus workers on Monday after Metroline bosses made an improved offer at the last minute.

Bus workers were still waiting to hear the details of the deal as Socialist Worker went to press and were due to ballot on Thursday and Friday over the deal.

This dispute is a crucial battle against low pay in London and over the future of public transport. Workers at two more bus companies in London are currently balloting for action.
