Anthony “Chub” Czubkowski, the senior shop steward for the Amicus union at Central Networks, was suspended from work just before Christmas, pending an investigation.

Central Networks is part of the German energy company E.ON.

The union has not received any details of what Chub has supposed to have done to be suspended. The unions are viewing it as an attack upon them and their right to organise and represent their members.

A workplace meeting of the unions was set for Wednesday this week. Workers are planning to protest on Monday of next week against E.ON’s international labour relations director’s visit to E.ON’s headquarters in Coventry.
