Protesters gathered in Glasgow on Saturday in solidarity with Zahra Byansi and her sons, Faysal and Rahim aged 12 and five.

The demonstration was called by Kingsway Amnesty Group and Glasgow Campaign to Welcome Refugees.

They had been arrested for a second time and threatened with deportation. They were released last March after a campaign on their behalf.

In the years that Zahra has been here, she has been an inspirational figure to all those who know her.

Since her first arrest she has dedicated herself to campaigning for other asylum seekers as well as helping anyone she knows who is in need. We demand that she be released immediately and be allowed to remain here.
