Civil service workers, teachers and postal workers across France struck on Thursday of last week over job cuts and pay.

France’s government wants to cut thousands of jobs and this month imposed a 0.8 percent pay deal for civil servants.

The Paris demonstration was joined by a solidarity delegation of British civil service workers in the PCS union.
