Injustice

Issue No. 1761

POLICE THREATS have again stopped the screening of the film Injustice. The film documents the struggle for justice of families whose members have died in police custody.

The Police Federation admits it has not taken out an injunction stopping the screening of the film. But audiences at the Lux Centre in Hoxton were prevented from seeing the film after Police Federation lawyers sent a warning to the cinema 'that they may face action should the film be found to be defamatory'.

Injustice is to be screened on Saturday 18 August at 7pm in Liverpool at the Masque, Steel Street.
