Raytheon 9 in court

Nine anti-war protesters, including socialist and civil rights campaigner Eamonn McCann, were in court in last week over their occupation of the offices of US arms manufacturer Raytheon in Derry, Northern Ireland, last August.

The charge of aggravated burglary, which was a scheduled offence under the Terrorism Act, has been dropped.?

They are to be charged with affray and with two counts of criminal damage.?The case will now be heard before a jury.?

The police are saying that the delay in the trial is because they are still processing 150 witness statements.
