STUC to hear anti-war voice

Issue No. 2046

The Scottish TUC conference in Glasgow next week will see its first ever Stop the War Coalition fringe meeting.

It follows the Scottish Stop the War conference two months ago, which attracted 500 people, including many trade unionists.

That conference agreed to plan a meeting at the STUC conference. This fringe meeting will take place at 12.30pm on Tuesday 17 April in the Holiday Inn, West Nile Street.

Tony Woodley, the general secretary of the T&G union, will speak, alongside Kenny Ross, the secretary of the Scottish FBU firefighters’ union.

Trade unionists and anyone keen to build the anti-war movement in Scotland are welcome.
