Lecturers at City College Manchester have put strike action on hold after management said that proposed new contracts would not be implemented for new starters.

The college principal was to put the deal to a governors’ committee on Friday of this week.

Management has also agreed to increase the legal time limit on our ballot by another 28 days, so that if the deal goes wrong we are in a position to act.
