AROUND 100 people, mainly young locals, protested against the Nazi National Front (NF) marching through the Kent town of Bromley last Saturday. The NF claimed they were marching against paedophiles, but didn't manage to con any local people into supporting them.

'We're against racist people,' a group of school students told Socialist Worker. 'Nazis aren't respectable. They shouldn't be allowed to march.' 'We're opposed to the NF being allowed to march and stir up trouble,' said Green Party member Ann Garrett. 'They say they're marching against paedophiles, but it's just an excuse to have a march.'

Other people on the protest included local Labour Party members, trade unionists, and a woman whose father had been in a Nazi concentration camp during the Second World War. Disgracefully, 200 police allowed 40 NF thugs to march.
