George Bush: the madman prepares to kill again

Issue No. 1787

US President George Bush this week ordered the biggest naval build-up since the Gulf War in 1991. He stunned the world two weeks ago by declaring that Iran, North Korea and Iraq were on his hit list. Yet there is no evidence that any of these countries have anything to do with the Al Qaida network.

Bush's fleet will be able to hit Yemen, Somalia or Iraq at any time. He is at the head of the most powerful military force in the world. His plans can only mean death and destruction for people across the globe.

Those backing Bush's plan to blast Iraq include Colin Powell, his Secretary of State. He was supposed to be a 'restraining influence' on Bush. The other man who was supposed to be holding Bush back is Tony Blair. Yet Blair was this week preparing to send troops from Scotland to support any attack that the US warmonger might make on Somalia.

Bush is continuing his slaughter in Afghanistan. US bombs are still killing women and children, and even Afghans who fought against the Taliban. All this from the man who claims he defends 'civilisation'.
