Help us reach our £200,000 target

Issue No. 1774

Socialist Worker supporters raised £10,453 last week towards our appeal for funds. The total is now £119,662, over halfway towards our target of £200,000. That money is vital to continuing our anti-war coverage.

Every week Socialist Worker has presented facts and arguments against the war. It has detailed reports of the growing anti-war movement in Britain and around the world. We have also thrown ourselves into building the demonstration next Sunday with leaflets, stickers and posters urging people to come on the march. In the last week council workers in Tower Hamlets, east London, raised £151 from collections. Workers at Convergys UK in Cambridge have sent in £72. Lecturers at Greenwich University have collected £42 for the appeal, and some £52 was collected amongst London Passport Office workers. Those attending the anti-war rally in Birmingham last week gave £100.

We would like to thank these people, and everyone else who donated to our appeal last week. Please rush any donations to us. Every bit of our readers' money makes a difference. Send donations to SW Appeal, PO Box 82, London E3 3LH. Phone to make a credit/debit card donation on 020 7538 2707, or donate online at the secure site: www.socialistworker.co.uk
