Over 250 Greenwich council workers in south London are continuing their battle against the latest single status proposals.

The recent plans include home care workers (mostly low paid women) losing over £20 per week – which shows the emptiness of the council’s claim that its proposals will benefit low paid women.

The council has been forced to make concessions in several areas because of our campaign.

A recent union meeting agreed that we will not let the council divide and separate us, and that not a single member can be left worse off from any deal.

The same evening over 100 council workers lobbied the councillors and chief officers.
