The campaign to demand justice for all those caught out by the collapse of money transfer firm First Solution is gathering pace, with Respect MP George Galloway securing a Commons adjournment debate on the issue scheduled for 4pm on Wednesday of this week.
Galloway has also tabled an early day motion, EDM 1821, on the First Solution scandal. It demands action by the treasury to “ensure that this financial scandal... does not deprive poor people of their money” and calls for proper regulation of the money transfer business.
First Solution collapsed last month leaving at thousands of people facing a combined loss of several million pounds. The firm was used by some of the poorest people in Britain to send money to family and friends in Bangladesh – some of the poorest people in the world.
