Get caught up in Socialist Worker's web coverage

Issue No. 2063

Socialist Worker online’s unparalleled coverage of the post strikes has been a huge success.

Web editor Ken Olende said, “It has really caught on among posties—we’ve received dozens of strike reports and photos, often from offices we’d had no contact with before.

“The website has helped Socialist Worker build a picture of the strike around the country in a way that the rest of the media isn’t even attempting.

“During the unofficial strikes we have been able to keep our coverage up to date, and we make the next strike dates widely available as soon as they are announced.”

The site has received a record number of visitors in the past couple of weeks.

Ken said, “About 5,000 more web pages a day are being looked at than a month ago. On the Saturday of the last strike 32,600 pages were viewed.”

The site also features international and industrial coverage that shortage of space keeps out of the printed paper.

“We’ve just run a piece from Chile on a victorious miners’ strike and one from South Korea about the kidnap of missionaries in Afghanistan.”
