Post strike on with talks between CWU and Royal Mail set for Thursday

Issue No. 2063

The next round of post strikes organised by the CWU postal workers’ union in Royal Mail are still set to take place from Thursday 9 August. The strikes start in mail centres at 7 pm.

There have been attempts by Royal Mail management in a number of offices to claim that the strikes have been called off.

Despite having said that no new offers were possible, the concerted series of strikes by post workers looks likely to have got Allan Leighton and Adam Crozier back to the table with new proposals.

There are talks between management and the union set for Thursday morning.
