Station staff employed by Virgin Trains could be set to strike over the Christmas break.

About 300 members of the RMT union are threatening two 24-hour strikes, one from 6pm on 23 December and the second from 12 noon on New Year's Eve, in a dispute over the company imposing new working conditions.

RMT acting general secretary Vernon Hince says, 'Members have rejected Virgin's restructuring proposals twice, but the company is riding roughshod over their terms and conditions regardless.'
