Respect is campaigning hard in the Stonebridge ward council by-election in Brent, north west London.

Sarah Cox, a local activist and a retired teacher, is Respect’s candidate in the election, which is set to take place on Thursday 13 September.

Sarah told Socialist Worker, “We have been out canvassing in the ward over the last few days and we found a number of staunch supporters.

“We also organised a Respect stall in Harlesden and leafleted the most local mosque.

“We had a good reception from people.

“We had some very welcome help from Respect supporters and we are asking people to come whenever they can to join the campaign.”

If you can help, meet on Sundays 2 and 9 September at 2pm outside Harlesden station. If you can help at any other time please phone 07958 029 647.
