PENSIONERS ARE planning to protest across Britain on Wednesday 24 November. A variety of events, ranging from displaying placards on buses, to sit downs in town centres, to blockading roads, are expected to take place.

John Parks, chair of the Coventry branch of the British Pensioners' Trade Union Action Association, told Socialist Worker, 'This government has let us down by not restoring the link between the rise in pensions and the rise in average earnings. That will be the main focus of our activity. We hope to cause major disruption.'
