David Gentleman’s anti-war designs

This major new exhibition at the Imperial War Museum looks at how posters have been used through the ages to propagandise for and against war.

It includes some 300 works, ranging from Alfred Leete’s infamous 1914 recruitment ad for the British army featuring Lord Kitchener, all the way to David Gentleman’s iconic posters for the Stop the War Coalition. Socialist Worker cartoonist Leon Kuhn’s anti-war work also makes an appearance.
