Socialist Worker appeal reaches £100,644

Help us raise £150,000

Issue No. 2078

Now is the time! And Monday 19 November was the time in Cambridge for the 130 people who packed into the Romsey Labour Club for the Cultures of Resistance fundraiser in aid of the SW appeal.

Martin Smith spoke about the life, music and politics of Charlie Parker, interspersed with music. Martin Booth, Convenor for Unison health at Addenbrooke’s hospital, spoke in support of Socialist Worker and asked people to donate to the appeal.

He was followed by a live set from the acclaimed saxophonist Gilad Atzmon and his band The Orient House Ensemble.

It was an important night, not only for raising money for the appeal, but to help put Romsey on the map as an area where left politics, resistance and culture find a voice.

A superb night!
