Postal workers out for Brighton

Issue No. 1766

WOODFORD Green postal workers in east London came out from work last week to show their support for the demonstration in two week's time at Labour's conference.

One worker said, 'Our office has taken the mood from the inside to the streets. We are preparing every step of our journey to Brighton. This will be a very important day for us, as it will show how much we are against privatisation in all walks of life, not just Royal Mail. We held up the road for a short time. People thought we were on strike so we told them what we were doing and why, and they agreed with us on our hatred of privatisation.'
