London protest for Gaza

Issue No. 2086

Up to 2,000 people protested outside Downing Street in London on Saturday of last week against the Israeli siege of Gaza.

There was a celebratory mood on the march after Palestinians had broken through a security wall to cross the border into Egypt and get essential food and medical supplies.

Big protests also took place in Leicester, Glasgow, Cardiff and Swansea earlier in the week.

The SWP in London has organised a public meeting, End the Siege of Gaza – Freedom for Palestine now!
Saturday 9 February, 2pm, Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H.
