Last Of The Dictionary Men is a multimedia exhibition that opened last week at the Baltic gallery in Gateshead.

It focuses on the experiences of the Yemeni community of South Shields, featuring potraits of first generation settlers by artist Youssef Nabil and a series of video portraits by Tina Gharavi.

The exhibition is accompanied by The King Of South Shields, a documentary on boxer Muhammad Ali's little known 1977 visit to South Shields.

Both shows run until Monday 5 May. For more, go to ยป www.balticmill.com
