‘It is crucial that all workers back those striking on 24 April. I will be speaking at a strike rally in Oxford on that day as the branch secretary of the local CWU postal workers’ union.

Postal workers are gearing up for a battle with our management over pensions. We will be sending out the message to all our members that they should attend the demonstration on 24 April.

I will be reciprocating the support we received from other groups, such as teachers, during our long-running dispute over the 2 percent public sector pay limit.

Somebody has to make a stand and break Gordon Brown’s pay limit. The teachers, lecturers, civil service workers and council workers in Birmingham are showing the way.

I am a Left List supporter and I’m standing in the 1 May council election in Cowley ward in Oxford.

Left List supporters will be attending picket lines and protests on 24 April to show our support for this struggle.’
