Crucial elections take place on Thursday of this week in London and across England and Wales.
They are a chance to send a clear message to Gordon Brown’s government to halt its attacks on working people and its slavish support of the rich.
The Left List is standing in the London mayor and assembly elections.
It is also backing council candidates in places such as Preston, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge.
Lindsey German is the Left List candidate for London mayor.
People in the capital should vote for her as their first preference on the pink ballot paper, and cast their second preferences for Ken Livingstone to keep out the Tory candidate Boris Johnson.
It is also crucial that people vote in the London assembly elections – the higher the turnout, the harder it is for the fascist British National Party to grab the 5 percent vote they need to secure a seat on the London assembly.

If the Left List can win 5 percent of the vote, Lindsey will be elected to the assembly, ensuring there will be a strong socialist voice in the capital.
