Honeydripper is set in Alabama in the 1950s and stars Danny Glover. The film is a comic drama about a juke joint run by Tyrone Purvis during the beginnings of the rock and roll era.

Unlike most US films, Honeydripper focuses on the black American experience. It is a brilliant depiction of black Southern communities at the time.

Honeydripper is the latest examination of US society from the talented writer-director John Sayles. Try not to miss it.
