Raise anti-war profile

SOCIALIST WORKER is continuing to get a great response from people eager for arguments against Bush and Blair's war drive. In Manchester some 66 people bought Socialist Worker on a 300-strong peace vigil.

A further 61 people bought the paper at Manchester's stop the war rally on Thursday of last week which attracted 300 people. Some 55 people bought Socialist Worker at the 100-strong anti-war rally in Haringey, north London.

Another 45 copies were sold to the 150 people who attended the Islington rally. In Birmingham last Saturday some 184 copies of Socialist Worker were sold in the city centre. Around 220 copies of Socialist Worker were sold at Sheffield University. Some 280 students across the two universities in Leeds University bought Socialist Worker last week.

At the University of North London 105 students bought Socialist Worker, and at Hertfordshire University 95 copies were sold to students. At Northampton University some 43 students bought Socialist Worker, at Luton University 45 bought a copy, at Birmingham's University of Central England 70 students bought Socialist Worker, and 58 copies were sold at Cardiff's Atlantic College.

There is only just over a week to build the CND demonstration. Rush to book transport and sell tickets to your friends, family, neighbours and workmates.

Again nearly 300 people joined the Socialist Workers Party in the last week. They include 24 at Hertfordshire University, 23 at Northampton University, 19 at Luton University and 47 at Sheffield University.
