Don’t forget Iran

Issue No. 2108

The threat of George Bush authorising an attack on Iran remains a live one.

The investigative US journalist Seymour Hersh reports that the United States is spending $400 million on covert action against Iran.

Last week Admiral Mike Mullen, US chair of the joint chiefs of staff, visited Israel for talks with his military counterpart there. It’s only the second time in a decade that any joint chiefs of staff chair has visited Israel. The previous visit, by Mullen last December, was followed by an Israeli airstrike on a supposed nuclear facility in Syria.

Anti-war activists need to remain on high alert.
