Leeds strike to defend union activist

Issue No. 2109

Workers at East North East Homes Leeds (ENEHL) were set to strike this Wednesday in defence of Unison union activist John McDermott

ENEHL, which is wholly owned by Leeds council, has stopped John’s facility time and is refusing to grant him release for his national duties.

In addition it is trying to restrict the number of stewards and separate ENEHL workers from the Leeds branch.
