Wednesday 16 July

  • Brighton – Bartholomew Square, 1pm.
  • Bristol – Assemble, Castle Park, 11am. March to College Green.
  • Cambridge – joint union rally and demonstration in city's Market Square outside the Guildhall.
  • Cardiff – rally The Point, Mount Stuart Square, Cardiff Bay, 11.30am.
  • Coventry – 12.30pm, Joint Unison/Unite rally with speakers outside Council House, other public service unions supporting including CWU.  Contact Chris Coleman 02476 6679475
  • Denbighshire – rally, Council Offices, Ruthin, 1pm.
  • Doncaster – rally, Mansion House.
  • Leeds – rally, Art Gallery, 11am.
  • London – march and rally. Assemble 1pm, Lincolns Inn Fields. March to a rally at Friends Meeting House.
  • Islington, north London – rally outside town hall, 11.30am.
  • Luton – Assemble, Luton Crown Court, 12 noon. March to Town Hall.
  • Newcastle – rally Newcastle Civic Centre, 12.30pm to 2pm.
  • Northampton – assemble at Becketts Park, 11.30am and march to the Guildhall.
  • Norwich – rally Hay Hill, 1pm.
  • Nottingham – Assemble 10am Arboretum St for march. Rally, Old Market Square, from 12 noon, with speakers from Unison, Unite and PCS.
  • Portsmouth – rally and march, assemble 11.30am Guildhall Street, march to the fountain, Commercial Road.
  • Ruthin – rally, County Hall, 1pm.
  • Sheffield – rally, either Town Hall or City Hall, 1pm.
  • South East Wales – rally John Frost Square, Newport, 11.30am.
  • Southampton – rally in front of the Civic Centre, 11.30am.
  • Southend – march from Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue to Millenium Clock, 11.30am.
  • Wakefield – rally outside County Hall (top of Wood Street), 12.15pm.
  • Wolverhampton – 12.30pm, Piazza outside the Wolverhampton Civic Centre, WV1 1RR. Speakers include Val Gibson (Senior Regional Organiser), Adrian Turner (Sandwell Unison rep), Dave Cole (NUT rep),  Vera Kelsey (CWU rep) and Marie Taylor (CYWU/Unite rep). Contact is Tracy Morgan 01902 554096

  • Blackpool – lobby outside Town Hall, 11am
  • Brixton, south London – march. Assemble 12 noon, Brixton Town Hall
  • Cardiff – lobby of the Senedd, the Welsh Assembly, Cardiff Bay, 12 noon.
  • Conwy – Rally, The Library, Mostyn Street, Llandudno, 12 noon.
  • Chelmsford – rally County Hall, 11.30am.
  • Derry – Joint trade union rally, Guildhall, 1pm.
  • Essex – County Hall, Chelmsford.
  • Exeter – Assemble Exeter Civic Centre, 12.30pm. March down Fore Street to the Mint Hall.
  • Manchester – Rally Against Low Pay, Peace Gardens, St Peter's Square (behind Town Hall), 12 noon. Speakers include Chris Chorlton (PCS National Executive), Jimmy Thornton (Unite Manchester City Council), Kevin Brown (FBU Regional Secretary), Chris Morley (NUJ), David Swanson (UCU NEC and Manchester College).
  • Walsall – 12 noon joint Unison/Unite rally outside Council House and then pickets and rally goers are invited across the square to Chicargo Rock Cafe for refreshments.  Contact Paul MacManomy Tel 01922 659160

The East Midlands, Derby, Leceister, Lincoln and Chesterfield all have rallies on the strike days.
