Step up fight for People Before Profit Charter

Issue No. 2115

Supporters of the People Before Profit Charter held a protest at St Pancras International station on Friday of last week to highlight the low pay of Eurostar cleaners, who are set to strike this Bank Holiday Monday, (see picture, page 14).

The charter is a set of ten demands put forward by trade unionists and campaigners.

If implemented, they would improve the lives of ordinary people in the face of an increasing cost of living and economic crisis.

Burnley GMB is the latest union branch to pass support for the charter, while a number of individuals have also signed it.

Supporters across the country are now discussing sending letters signed by local activists to their papers to promote the charter.
