Industrial action on Arriva trains

Issue No. 2117

The Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) said 27 of its members at Arriva Trains Wales would start a work-to-rule from Thursday of this week.

They will then stage a 24-hour strike from noon on 16 September, in a long-running row over pay.

The TSSA union has claimed that managers’ pay has been eroded over the past few years.

Rob Jenks, the TSSA senior regional organiser in Wales, said, “The result of the ballot confirms the strong feelings of our members and should serve as a wake-up call to the company.”
