Camden public meeting opposes GP privatisation

Issue No. 2118

A packed public meeting last week buoyed campaigners against the privatisation of the NHS in Camden, north London.

The meeting, which was organised by Keep our NHS Public, revealed the depth of anger against plans to allow the private sector to run GP services in the area.

Three local surgeries were privatised in April and transferred to United Health, one of the biggest private health companies in the United States.
