Dinu Li’s photographic portraits capture people from many of Manchester’s different migrant communities using some of the city’s phonebooth shops to call family and friends abroad.
The artist created the exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sam Selvon’s novel The Lonely Londoners, which was one of the first books to describe black immigrants’ experience of moving to Britain.
