Stagecoach end strike

Issue No. 2132

Drivers at Stagecoach Bluebird in north east Scotland have called off planned action after accepting a revised pay offer that takes basic pay to £9 an hour. The deal is a slight improvement on management’s previous offer.

Drivers have held two 24-hour strikes in recent weeks. Tommy Campbell from the Unite union said that the drivers had “reluctantly agreed” to the deal, but added that the union would be pursuing a grievance with the company which has refused to give workers their back pay.
