NUJ union members at Newsquest York have given notice of holding union meetings every weekday until 30 March over management plans to cut four journalist jobs.


Staffordshire Newspapers

Journalists at Staffordshire Newspapers in Burton-on-Trent have told management they plan to hold two mandatory union meetings next week. Talks over office closures are planned on Monday.


Independent and Independent on Sunday

Independent and Independent on Sunday journalists are to hold a two-hour stoppage next week. The dispute is over plans by the company to force through compulsory redundancies.


Reed Business

Journalists fighting compulsory job cuts and deskilling at Reed Business Information in London last week suffered a serious setback when a ballot for industrial action came out two-to-one against a strike.
