Build support for Prisme occupation

Issue No. 2141

Twelve workers at a packaging company in Dundee are continuing the occupation of their factory over redundancy pay.

The workers at Prisme have been occupying the site since Wednesday, after being told that they were sacked and that the company would not pay them any redundancy pay. Some of the workers have been at the firm for over ten years.

The workers have had a great response from workers and trade unionists across the country – they have had around 250 messages of support so far. Management have not held any negotiations with the workers.

Supporters of the workers will hold a rally outside the factory on Saturday at 12 noon in solidarity with the occupation.
