PCS to ballot over ‘flexible’ rotas

Issue No. 2142

Around 10,000 members of the PCS civil service workers’ union working in contact centres in the Revenue & Customs department are to ballot for action from Friday of this week.

Workers are angry about the imposition of a new “flexible” shift rota and other issues.

A contact centre worker told Socialist Worker, “Management want to bring in a new shift pattern that is detrimental to everyone. We are now looking at taking action after Easter.”
