The 23rd festival celebrates the continuing creativity of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender film-makers from across the world.
Highlights include John Hurt in An Englishman In New York, about Quentin Crisp’s life in Manhattan, and Dolls, about three teenagers’ last summer together before they go their separate ways.
Transvestites Also Cry is a tender portrayal of Romina and Mujerón, two transgender people from Ecuador, who live and work as prostitutes in Paris, having escaped the prejudice and economic hardship of their country.
