Love theatre - hate stereotypes

Issue No. 2143

There will be a second protest this Saturday against the National Theatre’s play England People Very Nice, which presents a series of crude and racist caricatures of ethnic minorities in London’s East End.

The demo takes place outside the National Theatre, Southbank, London SE1 at 2pm on Saturday 21 March.

Protesters are demanding a “right to reply” to the play in the form of a public debate hosted by the theatre.
