Students at Newcastle University went into occupation on 10 March making demands in solidarity with people in Gaza.
The occupation ended
after 28 hours and the students entered into a round of negotiations.
The demands were consistent with those made by other students who have gone into occupation.
The students have so far secured a statement from the university condemning the violence waged by Israel in Gaza as well as promising an ongoing collaboration with the Islamic University of Gaza which was heavily bombed in the violence.
Sheffield University students went into occupation on Monday of this week making similar demands.
They remained in occupation as Socialist Worker went to press.
