Demand justice for Yunus

Issue No. 2145

High profile union activist Yunus Bakhsh continues his fight for reinstatement to his job as a nurse this week.

An appeal against Yunus's dismissal by Northumbria, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust is set to continue until Wednesday.

At the time of his initial suspension Yunus argued that there was a racist motivation for the allegations made against him, but trust bosses denied this.

It has since emerged that the Nazi website Stormfront was involved in gathering information on Yunus in a bid to get him sacked and that one of Yunus's accusers was a member of several Facebook groups that had become a focus for fascists.

Voting in the Unison national executive elections begins on 14 April. For a list of those standing on the Left Slate go to » www.unisonleft.wordpress.com
