Hackney protests continue at Army Showroom

Issue No. 2146

Over 50 people protested against an army showroom in Hackney, east London, last Saturday.

This was the third such protest against the recently opened showroom.

The army is trying to use the most advanced technology to recruit young people – without mentioning the brutal reality of war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The protest forced the army to close the showroom for its duration.

Hackney Stop the War Coalition is planning to keep up the campaign.
