Around 100 station staff in the Willesden Green London Underground station group struck for 24 hours from 7pm on Wednesday of last week over what their RMT union describes as “aggressive and bullying local management”.
“This is a strike about bullying and discrimination,” said an RMT member who was picketing Willesden Green station during the strike.
“The local manager was a train operating manager in a depot in south London but was transferred after a ballot there and the involvement of the Acas negotiating service.
“We feel that what we face is so bad that the RMT wants the Equality and Human Rights Commission to investigate. Management have so far refused this request.”
Further action is being planned.
